Six places, named up front

This set contains Andorra, Liechtenstein, Monaco, San Marino, Vatican and Malta. It is a selected practice set, not a list of every European microstate or a smallest-country ranking. Luxembourg and other countries are not included.

Vatican is the catalog label used by the quiz. Vatican City is used in the location explanation.

How to read the insets

Find the labeled neighboring country first, then the numbered locator. North is up. The locator circles are enlarged symbols, not the true country sizes. Each inset has its own scale.

Use the text clues if you cannot use the map. Both versions ask for the same six names.

Practice in pairs

  • One person reads a clue while the other names the place.
  • Swap roles and describe the location without looking at the clue.
  • Check the answer key, then try the six-place map round.
